The funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, September 7, 2019 at Popular Springs Baptist Church, Poplar Springs Baptist Church Road, Byromville, Georgia. Burial will follow in the Church cemetery.
Mildred was born in Unadilla, Georgia on May 19, 1951 to late the Artis Adams I and the late Mae Ellen Brown Adams. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Aretha Cassandra Adams Woolfork, and six siblings, Catherine A. Lewis, Mary Alice Adams, Artis Adams II, Willie James Adams, Chester Adams, and George Washington Adams. She was educated in the public school system of Dooly County. She was a member of Popular Springs Baptist Church in Byromville, Georgia. She was employed with Montezuma Health Care in the laundry department and she also was employed with Fort Valley Nursery as an Assistant Supervisor. Mildred loved gardening and making her hot papa sauce. She enjoyed family reunions and took an active role in family events.
She leaves to cherish her memories to her husband, King Scott, Jr., Montezuma, Georgia; a daughter Lashonda Adams, Montezuma, Georgia; a stepson, Germaine Brown, Unadilla, Georgia; three devoted grandchildren ,Willie ”Buster” Woolfork Jr., Akybia “Keke”Freeman, and Aniya Brown; four great grandchildren, Dezyriya Freeman, Kailey Woolfork, Aubrey Woolfork, and Cailey Woolfork; six siblings, Mary Ruth Hill (Joseph) Cleveland, Ohio, Calvin Adams, Lucille Caldwell, both of Unadilla, Georgia, Willie Lee Adams, Byromville, Georgia, Thomas “TJ” Jefferson Adams, Byromville, Georgia, whom was a devoted brother; Apostle W.M. Holmes, Ideal, Georgia, and Martha Howell, Warner Robins, Georgia; two devoted goddaughters, Jontasha Kaigler and her three daughters and Latisha Brown; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives including a loving and devoted niece Evangelist Aletha Holmes, and devoted friends Bessie English and the late Annie Harris.
