​Melissa Michelle McKellar, age 34, passed on July 18, 2020 at Perry Hospital, Perry, Georgia.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, July 25, 2020 at Felton Chapel Independent Church Cemetery, Ga Hwy 128, Oglethorpe, Georgia.

Please be mindful that we will adhere to all government recommendations and mandates to limit the number of attendees at all services at this time. We are limiting the number of attendees to no more than 10 at the funeral home chapel services and graveside services. We thank you for your understanding and patience during this time.

Melissa was born in Americus, Sumter County, Georgia to Fred McKellar Sr., and the late Gwenda Michelle Walker McKellar on January 10, 1986. She was preceded in death by her brother Fred Douglas McKellar Jr. She was educated in the public school system of Macon County. She was a member of Camp Creek Baptist Church in Unadilla, Georgia. Melissa worked as a PCA with Angel Light of Americus, Georgia.

Melissa leaves to cherish her memories a loving fiancé, Dewayne Range; four children, Da’Quointez McKellar, Da’Quointravous McKellar, Mariah McKellar, and Ricardo Adams Jr.; father, Fred McKellar Sr.; two siblings Shaquandra McKellar and Ja’Quia McKellar; one stepbrother Javargus West Sr.; nieces Gwendashia Williams, Layla McKellar, A’Miracle McKellar, Madelyn McKellar, Z’hoe McKellar; nephews, Omari Williams, Kevin Lester III, Javargus West Jr.; uncles and aunts, Tom Gary (Elma), Eddie Roy McKellar (Mary Gillcrest), Larry McKellar (Angela), Andrew McKellar Jr. (Felicia), Sandra Jean McKellar, Mary Battle (Junior), Gloria McDonald, Mae Eula Walker, Phillip Walker, and Arrie Dean Walker; mother in law, Etherlene Brooks; father-in-law, Melvin Range, sisters-in-law, Chantel Adams, Sha’Neique Brooks; niece-in-law, Te’Laya Hawkins; a host of other caring family and friends including a devoted friend Ricardo Adams Sr.

I was so saddened to hear of her passing. She loved her family and was a great person to know. May God give you peace as you reflect on his goodness and the memories of your loved one.
