On March 8, 1947 God blessed the late Fee Arthus Williams and Laura Hartage Williams with a beautiful girl whom they named, Mattie Will. Mattie was one of five siblings born to Fee Arthus and Laura. Mattie was a 1966 graduate of the old historic John Lewis High School in Schley County. Mattie was united in holy matrimony to the late Marvin Crumbley.

Being reared in a Christian family she accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior at an early age and joined Concord Holiness Church in Schley County. Later, she joined the band of believers at Tabernacle of Faith Holiness Church of Ellaville, Georgia under the leadership of Elder E. J. Lundy.

Mattie worked many years as a food service worker in various restaurants. After many dedicated years of service, she retired as a custodian from Schley County Board of Education.

Mattie leaves a legacy of golden memories and love to her beloved daughter, Marilyn Johnson, (Roland Aldridge), Ellaville, Georgia; a loving friend, James "Larger" Hart, Ellaville, Georgia; three siblings, Corine Williams Respess, Mary B. Williams Sales, both of Ellaville, Georgia and Johnny (Emily) Williams, Atlanta, Georgia; one aunt, Essie Mae Hartage, Vienna, Georgia; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Robert (Myrtice) Crumbley, Helen McMurray, Zelma Holt, all of Buena Vista, Georgia, Rev.
