Mary Lizzie Beavers, age 89, passed on January 10, 2023.
The graveside service will be held at 12:00 P.M., Friday, January 13, 2023, at Andersonville National Cemetery, 496 Cemetery Road, Andersonville, Georgia.
Graveside services, including burials, are likely to be held on ground that is uneven, which is out of the control of Oglethorpe Funeral Chapel, Inc. Mary Lizzie Beavers was born on January 19, 1933, in Ellaville, Schley County, Georgia to the late Felix Williamson Sr. and Mary Lee Williamson. She was preceded in death by a cherished husband of forty-eight years, Jimmie Alden Beavers, and son, Lamar Evan Beavers. She was also preceded in death by six siblings: Cora Dell Black; Robert “B” Williamson; Willie James Williamson; Willie Edward Williamson; Eugene Williamson; Lola Simmons; and Flex Williamson Jr. She was a graduate of Ellaville High School. At an early age she joined Oak Grove Baptist Church. In November 1961, she was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Jimmie Alden Beavers and to this union they were blessed with four children.
She leaves to cherish her memories are three daughters and a son-in-law, Mary Ellen Williamson, Betty Joyce Wiggins, both of Hampton, Georgia and Beverlyn Diane Luckerson (Frazier), Ellaville, Georgia; two granddaughters, Kisha Denise Burwell, and Latoya Aldridge (Michael), all of Ellaville, Georgia; four great grandchildren, Matthew Burwell, Miyana Baisden, Kabreon Aldridge, and Braylon Aldridge; a brother Willie Arthur Williamson (Rose) South Carolina, Christine Stewart, Ellaville, Georgia; Josephine Mercer (Sammie), Ellaville, Georgia; Annie Pearl Smith (Paul), Phoenix City, AL, Annie Mildred Williamson, Atlanta, Georgia; Mary Francis Hayes, Americus, Georgia; Ella Pearl Williamson, Ellaville, Georgia; and Minnie Williamson, Ellaville, Georgia, and a host of beloved nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
