Mary Jane Holt, age 85, 1479 Ronnie Road, Buena Vista, Georgia passed Thursday, February 18, 2016 at her home.
The funeral service will be conducted, 1:00 P.M., Tuesday at Mount Olive Baptist Church, Moody Road, Tazewell, Georgia. Reverend Joseph Oglesby, pastor, will officiate. Interment will follow in Church cemetery.
Mary Jane Parker Holt was born August 19, 1930 in Marion County, Georgia to the late Climmie Parker and Mary Magalene Haley Parker. She was educated in Marion County Public School System. She accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior and joined the band of Christian Believers at Mount Olive Baptist Church of Tazewell Community. After many dedicated years of service, she retired as a Homemaker.
In 1945, she was united in Holy Matrimony to Roy Holt, Sr. To this union, they were blessed with five children. Two daughters, Helen Holt and Betty Holt, preceded her in death.
On Thursday morning, February 18, 2016, God embraced her in His arms and enfolded her in His love. A precious one from us is gone; a voice we love is still. A place is vacant in our hearts that can nevermore be filled.
She leaves a legacy of love and memories to her beloved family which include a beloved husband of seventy-one years, Roy Holt, Sr., Buena Vista, Georgia; three children, Roy (Pecoral) Holt, Jr., Mary Ann (Tommy) Underwood, and Larry Holt, Sr., all of Buena Vista, Georgia; one sister, Marie Nelson, Delray Beach, Florida; twelve grandchildren, Pamela Denise Holt, Bridget Holt, Vickie Holt, Elaine Holt, Veronda (Pastor Ricky) Cladd, Gregory (Melissa) Holt, Shewann Underwood, Shaun (Kim) Underwood, Larry Holt, Jr., Venny Holt, Anthony Holt and Ricky (Lora) Holt; a host of beloved great grandchildren; a host of beloved nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
