Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, May 25, 2022, at Glorious Hope Primitive Baptist Church, 215 Cotton Avenue, Marshallville, Georgia. Burial will follow in Willow Lake Cemetery, Willow Lake Road, Fort Valley, Georgia.
Please be mindful that we will adhere to all government recommendations and mandates at all services at this time. We are limiting graveside seating to no more than 10 with masks being strongly encouraged. Other masked attendees are welcomed but will be expected to practice social distancing.
Graveside services, including burials, are likely to be held on ground that is uneven, which is out of the control of Oglethorpe Funeral Chapel, Inc. We ask that you take this into consideration when choosing footwear, such as shoes with high, thin heels. Please be advised that Oglethorpe Funeral Chapel, Inc. will not be held responsible for injuries at a grave site because of this.
Mrs. Marion W. Lowe, well known as “Tiny,” was born on February 16, 1926, in Macon County, Georgia to the late Mrs. Viola Burnam Beauford. She received her education from the public schools of Macon County where she met her husband, the late Walter “W.C.” Charles Lowe, Sr. She was an employee at Southern Frozen Foods in Montezuma, Georgia. Her smile, winks, strength, and humor will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
She was a firm believer in God and was a member of Glorious Hope Primitive Baptist Church of Marshallville. She entered eternal rest with a smile on her face on Thursday, May 19, 2022, at the Houston Medical Center in Warner Robins.
Mrs. Lowe now joins her husband, Walter C. Lowe, Sr.; her mother, Viola Beauford; her brothers, John and Mac Adams, her sister, Barbara Beauford; and her grandson, Derrick Lowe Sr.
Left to cherish her passing are her siblings, Minnie Horsley of North Carolina, Betty Brookins (Samuel) of Florida, Alflorence Johnson of Missouri, and Mott Adams of North Carolina; five devoted sons, Walter C. Lowe Jr. of Marshallville, Eugene Lowe (Missouri) of Bonaire, Bennie Lowe and Charles Lowe (Yolanda) of New York, and Richard Lowe of Florida; five devoted daughters, Elizabeth Jones and Gloria Washington of New York, Jamie Lowe of Byron, Raynelle Lowe (Darryl) and Jannette Leary (Frederick Sr.) of Marshallville; 25 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, 8 great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other devoted family and friends, including her devoted caregivers, Shameka Adams-Smith and Mary Rumph of Marshallville, and Ellean Rumph of Fort Valley.
