Mrs. Maeola Culler, age 86, 113 Morse Avenue, Montezuma, Georgia passed Friday, September 26, 2014 at Montezuma Health and Rehabilitation Center, 506 Sumter Street, Montezuma, Georgia.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 P. M., Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at Oglethorpe Funeral Chapel, Inc., 607 Kaigler Street, Oglethorpe, Georgia. Interment will follow in New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery, Hwy 26, Montezuma, Georgia. The Reverend Coley Clark will officiate.
Maeola was born March 24, 1928 in Montezuma, Macon County, Georgia to the parents of the late Leola Killen Loftly and Boisy Loftly. Her husband Isreal Culler, her son James McClendon preceded her in death.
She was educated in the Macon County public school system, where she attended the historic Flint River Farm School.
She accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior and joined the band of Christian believers at New Hope Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and enjoyed her family and friends.
She lived in Atlanta, Georgia for fifty years or more before moving back to her native land.
Left to cherish her memories include; two loving sisters. Leola Sanders, Montezuma, Georgia and Ellen Harris, Fort Myers, Florida.
