Linda Faye Marshall, age 65, passed on March 20, 2020.

The graveside service will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, March 28, 2020, at Antioch Baptist Church, 1298 Chokee Road, DeSoto, Georgia.

Please also be mindful that we will adhere to all government recommendations and mandates to limit the number of attendees at all services at this time. We are limiting the number of attendees to no more than 10  at the funeral home chapel services and graveside services. We thank you for your understanding and patience during this time.

Linda was born in Lee County, Georgia on September 10, 1954, to the late Leona Hargove Westbrook and the late Eddie Lee Westbrook, Sr. She was educated in the Lee County public school system and also attended Troy State University.

She was preceded in death by four brothers: Jim Westbrook, C.T. Westbrook, Willie Westbrook and Calvin Westbrook, and a granddaughter Jaimeria Bowens.

Linda worked as a seamstress at Manhattan Shirt Company, in Americus, Ga. She also worked in the Sumter County school system, where she was a Paraprofessional until she retired. As a young girl she enjoyed competing with her brothers. Linda was a matriarchal figure for all of her siblings. She gladly took on the role of “surrogate mom” by preparing delicious homemade meals, especially Sunday dinners. Linda’s siblings and other family members oftentimes sought her advice and opinions. She was a devoted daughter, mother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, friend, church and choir member. Linda found great joy in serving the Lord. At an early age she joined the Antioch Baptist Church.

One of her many gifts, was a beautiful voice. She was a longtime member of the Antioch Baptist Church choir, in which she held various positions. Linda was steadfast in her faith and held firm to her convictions. Linda was the heart of the family and will be truly missed.

She leaves to cherish her memories: a son, Anthony Denard Westbrook, Cordele Georgia; daughter Amber Nicole Marshall, Americus, Georgia, seven  grandchildren Alayshia Marshall, Azavion Marshall, Avari Patterson Armani Westbrook, Antoria Westbrook, Antyria Westbrook,  five siblings, Eddie Westbrook Jr., Americus, Georgia, Otis Westbrook, Desoto, Georgia, Robert Westbrook, Kathleen, Georgia, Louise Barthell, Americus, Georgia, Brinda Sedgwick (Everett), Alexandria, Virginia, John Clark (Regina), Atlanta, Georgia; sisters-in–law, Nina Westbrook, Desoto, Georgia and Lela Westbrook, Cordele, Georgia; a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends, including two devoted cousins, Charlie Westbrook and Mapp Mency, and a devoted friend Carla Henry.

It is hard to put into words the depth of my loss. Linda and I were like sisters...we shared everything. Her secrets we my secrets and mine were hers. I will always treasure our friendship and the memories we shared together. Linda believed in living life to its fullest and we had so much fun together! I was indeed blessed to have her in my life. I would like to express my sincere condolences to the Marshall/Westbrook family. Just know that I share your loss and your grief.
