The funeral serivce of Leroy Dennis Frederick will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, October 19, 2019, at the Davis Chapel A.M.E. Church, Highway 26 West, Oglethorpe, Georgia.
Mr. Leroy Dennis Frederick was born in Andersonville, Georgia, Sumter County on October 6, 1953. He was the son of the Polly Mae Frederick and Thomas Frederick. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Frederick and Polly Mae Frederick, and siblings, Hattie Bell Fitzhugh, Jacqueline Howard and Anthony Frederick all of Andersonville, Georgia.
He was a 1971 graduate of Union High School in Leslie, Georgia and was employed at Metalux Lighting Company Americus, Georgia until becoming disabled.
Leroy accepted Christ at an early age under the leadership of Rev. Allen of Ebenezer Baptist Church of Andersonville, Georgia.
He departed this life on Sunday, October 13, 2019 at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center, Americus, Georgia.
To cherish the memory of his life, he leaves three siblings: Mary Frederick Rogers, Ellaville, Georgia, Mamie Ann Frederick, Americus, Georgia, and Lucille (Thomas) Grover, Oglethorpe, Georgia, Phyllis Harris, Americus, Georgia, Brenda Faye Harris, College Park, Georgia, Grome (Leon) Grant, Brownwood, North Carolina, and a aunt, Catherine Harris, Raleigh, North Carolina; devoted and a host of loving nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends including devoted family friend Stanley Rogers.
