The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, June 27, 2015 at the Felton Chapel Church, Highway 128 North, Oglethorpe, Georgia. The Reverend Rodney Duncan will officiate. Interment will follow in Felton Chapel Church Cemetery, Highway 128 North, Oglethorpe, Georgia.
Katina was born September 17, 1972 in Ideal, Macon County, Georgia to the late John Wesley Leggett and Ira Belle Walker Leggett. She was preceded in death by two siblings Joann Leggett and Timothy Leggett.
She was educated in the public school system of Macon County where she attended the historic D.F. Douglas High School. She was employed with several nursing facilities as a Certified Nurse Assistant. If you knew Katina, you would know she loved fashion, singing, dancing, walking, and spending time with family and friends. She was a neighborhood mother to many children in the community.
A precious one from us is gone, a voice we love is still; a place is vacant in our hearts that can never more be filled.
She leaves to cherish her memories five devoted children, Wydrekia Leggett Harrison(Rainier) Montezuma Georgia, Harold Leggett Warner Robins Georgia, Whitney Leggett Oglethorpe Georgia, Brittney Leggett Americus Georgia, and Walteria Hosley Montezuma Georgia; five loving grandchildren, Montrevious, Timothy, Alayasia, Anevia, and E’moni; Siblings, Hayward Leggett (Jeanette), Oglethorpe Georgia Lewis Leggett (Mattie) Linda Leggett, Arthur Leggett (Shirley) all of Ideal Georgia, Christopher Leggett(Gwinlyn) Ideal Georgia, Angela Leggett Mathis (Roy) and Janice Leggett (Kerry) all of Oglethorpe Georgia; aunts and uncles, Arrie Dean Walker, Mary Battle(Major) Phillip Walker all of Oglethorpe Georgia. Mae Eula Walker, Montezuma Georgia and Gloria McDonald Marshville Georgia; A host of beloved nieces and nephews, first cousins, other relatives and friends, including devoted friends, Jesse Kendrick, Patricia Mckellar and Lillian Mitchell.
