The graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, January 7th, 2023, at Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery, Dozier Rd., Ellaville, Georgia. Rev. Phillip Fowler will officiate.
Graveside services, including burials, are likely to be held on ground that is uneven, which is out of the control of Oglethorpe Funeral Chapel, Inc. We ask that you take this into consideration when choosing footwear, such as shoes with high, thin heels. Please be advised that Oglethorpe Funeral Chapel, Inc. will not be held responsible for injuries at a grave site because of this.
Johnnie B. Williamson was born September 23, 1933, in Schley County, Georgia to the late Deacon Eddie Williamson and the late Janie Germany Williamson. He was preceded in death by nine siblings, George, Sam, Amos, E.W., Paul, Sallie, Willie Pearl, Minnie Lee and Henry James. Johnnie was educated in the public school system of Schley County. Johnnie work ethics started out with his family farming and logging. He later learned the technology of plumbing and was employed with Johnny Gordon Plumbing Company whereas he was employed for about forty years. After retiring, Johnnie and his sons went into business and was known as Johnnie Williamson Plumbing Company of Ellaville and Schley County. Johnnie was married to Annie K. Perkins and they were blessed with ten children; two, Johnny B. Williamson, Jr. and Charles Bernard Williamson, preceded him in death.
He leaves a legacy of love and many fond memories to his beloved wife, Annie K. Perkins Williamson, Ellaville, Georgia; eight loving children and their spouses, Shirley Golphin, Jacksonville, Florida, Evon Williamson, Ray D. Williamson (Patricia) all of Ellaville, Georgia, Gaye Swanson (Carey) Americus, Georgia, Dennis Williamson, Warm Springs, Georgia, Gregory L. Williamson (Valerie), Wilmington, Delaware, Kristal B. Blue (McArthur) Buena Vista, Georgia and Marcus Williamson (Michelle), LaGrange, Georgia; twenty one grandchildren, and a host of great grandchildren; one sister, Pauline Williamson Smith (Thomas), Americus, Georgia; daughter-in-law, Tameka Williamson; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Sylvester Perkins (Marie), Vera Perkins (Willie), Bernice Hill and Annie Ruth Williamson, Americus, Georgia; A host nieces, nephews, other relatives and loving friends including Dorothy Mackey and family of Ellaville, Georgia.
