Johnnie B. Fredrick, age 98, 199 Fox Hill Drive, Oglethorpe, GA passed Friday, March 4, 2011. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, March 19, 2011 at the Oglethorpe Funeral Chapel, Inc., 607 Kaigler Street, Oglethorpe, Georgia. Burial will follow in the Champ Waters Cemetery, Twin Church Road, Montezuma, Georgia.
Mr. Fredrick was born November 17, 1912 in Macon County Georgia, to the late Albert Fredrick and Connie Kaigler Fredrick. He is the widower of the late Willie Mae Solomon Fredrick. He is the father of the late Bernice Fredrick and Johnnie B. Fredrick Jr. He was preceded in death by seven siblings, one sister-in-law, and one brother-in-law: Albert Fredrick (Mildred), Felton Fredrick (Nettie Mae), Ernest Fredrick, Bass Fredrick, Mary Lee Fredrick, Annie Kate Bryant and Estella Wimberly. He was a retired farmer and logger.
Survivors are one daughter, Clara Mae Fredrick, Imperial, Missouri; grandchildren, Diane Fredrick, New York, Edward Fredrick, Fort Valley, Georgia, Wilma Buie, St. Louis, Missouri; nine great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; two sisters, Louise Fredrick, Oglethorpe, Georgia and Inez Rocquemore, Montezuma, Georgia; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
