The funeral service will be conducted at 11:30 A.M., Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at the Seventh-day Adventist Church, corner of Pine and 701 Ashby Streets, Americus, Georgia. Burial will follow in the Eastview Cemetery, 500 Block Ashby Street, Americus, Georgia.
On February 4th 1963, Lena Harris Little and the late McArthur Little, Sr. were blessed with the birth of a son, James Shelby “Chuck” Little. James was raised in Americus, Georgia and attended the Americus Public School System. Professionally, he was a Senior Machine Operator at Gailey Industries, Inc. in Americus, Georgia. After a number of years in the manufacturing industry, James decided to pursue his passion for cars; therefore, he decided to undertake a long successful career as an Automotive Mechanic. Artistically, James was a gifted musician, as the guitar was his instrument of choice. In conversation, James' honesty and high intelligence quotient would often leave his debaters speechless. James faced the last and greatest debate of his entire life, the topic choices consisted of Heaven and Earth. He decided to choose Heaven, leaving everyone speechless for the final time.
James was preceded in death by his six siblings: John Weymon Little, Gregg Anthony Little, McArthur “Donnie” Little, Jr., Ruby Lee Bivins, Jimmy Little and Mary Alice Hughes, his niece Bianca Little also brother-in-law Dwayne Darrell Holmes.
He leaves behind his loving children, Carlos Wilbun and Miriam Bryant, as well as his adoring grandchildren, Jaylen Mason, Janeice Lewis and Ariel Adkins.
Additionally, he leaves treasurable memories to his two caring sisters and four loyal nephews: Sisters, Carmen Mansfield and Harriet Little Holmes. Nephews, Tore Mansfield (Lashonda), Travis Mansfield Sr., (Shaceda), Cameo Wade and Skylar Mansfield Sr., (Kita). Also, his devoted friend and caretaker Thomas Bartley.
Furthermore, his uncles George Sims, Eugene Sims and Sam Sims. His aunts, Viola Robinson, Glenda Dean Boston, Betty Marshall, Merlene Brown and Ruth Brown (Marvin). His nephews, Robert Bivins, Jr., and Dr. Stanley Mario Bivins. His nieces, Abbis Bivins and Patricia Bivins. His friends, Alvin Tyson, Jr., Jerome Tyson, Donnate Small and Sherri Small.
