​Mrs. IDella Smith, age 89, 710 Vienna Road, Apt. 6A, Montezuma, Georgia passed Monday, July 27, 2020 at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center, Americus, Georgia.

Graveside services will be held, 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at Eastview Cemetery, Ashby Street, Americus, Georgia.

Please be mindful that we will adhere to all government recommendations and mandates to limit the number of attendees at all services at this time. We are limiting the number of attendees to no more than 10 at the funeral home chapel services and graveside services. We thank you for your understanding and patience during this time.

Mrs. IDella Clark, daughter of the late Lissie Boone and the late Hughie Spann, was born on September 5, 1930 in Ellaville, Georgia. She was preceded in death by one son, Johnny Clark, six sisters, and four brothers. She attended school at McCoy Hill, Americus, Georgia. She was a long time member of First Albany Holiness Church under Apostle Isaiah Revilles; she later attend New Birth Tabernacle under Overseer Reynolds. She transitioned her life of Monday, July 27, 2020.

She leaves to mourn her passing three daughters, Joann Waymon of Montezuma, Georgia, Myrtice Johnson of Brooklyn, New York, and Mary (Jeffrey) Atkins of Jonesboro, Georgia; two sons, Willie (Robin) Johnson of Americus, Georgia and Mark (Sharon) Clark of Montezuma, Georgia; eighteen grandchildren, twenty-five great grandchildren and twenty-one great great grandchildren; her only surviving sister, Costella Bromfield of Montezuma, Georgia; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends including her caregiver, Denise Colbert.

My dearest friends,i cannot began to comprehend the agony and pain you must be feeling at this time.Do to this pandemic most of your family and friends cannot be there with you doing your hours of suffering. To the Smith, Clarke and Johnson families, I pray you find peace in a time when we have no answers. The hardest times in a persons life is to lose a parent and a child. I know this family has had to endure both in the last week and my heart aches for you in your losses.
