Hayward Wesley Walton, Jr., “Whipple Snapple”, age 61, 241 Minter Street, Buena Vista, Georgia passed on Friday, May 28, 2021.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, June 5, 2021 at the Josh Gibson Center, 116 Roger Street, Buena Vista, Georgia. Burial will follow at Tazewell City Cemetery, Tazewell, Georgia.
Hayward was born January 3, 1960 to Annie Rose Walton and the late Hayward Walton, Sr. in Buena Vista, Marion County, Georgia. He was a 1977 graduate of Tri-County High School and a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. He served in the U.S. Army. He was employed with Ward Snider Trucking Company as a tractor trailer driver.
He leaves to cherish his memories five children, Marquita Walton, Buena Vista, Georgia, Hayward Walton, III (Shenericka), Hampton, Georgia, Naisasha Walton, Buena Vista, Georgia, Quantez Freeman, and Quantia Freeman both of Columbus, Georgia; mother, Annie Rose Walton, Buena Vista, Georgia; seven grandchildren, DeChristian Hollis, Christiyunna Hollis and Alanna Hollis all of Buena Vista, Georgia, Kayden Walton, Virginia Beach, Virginia, Legend Freeman, Columbus, Georgia, Ayla Walton, Hampton, Georgia and Greyson Freeman, Columbus, Georgia; five siblings, Annie Catherine Irving (Curtis), Columbus, Georgia, Harrell C. Walton (Janice), Buena Vista, Georgia, Delbert J. Walton (Petrella) Jacksonville, North Carolina, Terrace Walton (Barbara) Buena Vista, Georgia and Donell Sales (Bridgett); his beloved maternal aunts, Crystal Gilder (Rossevelt), Bobbie McKinney, Anita Wimbush, Ozella Walton (Willie); his beloved paternal aunts and uncles, Jewel Kelly (Charlie), Isabelle Walton, all of Buena Vista, Georgia, Essie Walton, Velma Walton, both of Brooklyn, New York; his beloved nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends including beloved friends Willie James Hudson, Randy Robinson, Eddie Jones, Joseph Gardner, Marcus King, and Imogene Brooks.
