Hawaiian Sales, Jr. was born June 20, 1953 in Buena Vista, Marion County, Georgia to the late Hawaiian Sales, Sr. and the late Annie Christine Chapman Sales.  He was called from labor to reward on Good Friday, March 25, 2016 at the Phoebe Sumter Medical Center, Americus, Sumter County, Georgia.

The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, April 2, 2016 at the Josh Gibson Family Center, Rogers Street, Buena Vista, Georgia.  The Reverend Joseph Brown, pastor of Evergreen Baptist Church, Mauk, Georgia, will officiate.  Interment will follow in the Mt. Zion Cemetery, Oliver Street, Buena Vista, Georgia.

Hawaiian, affectionately called "Bo Peep," acquired his education in the public school system of Marion County and his Christian training from Hall Chapel Christian Methodist Episcopal Church. Hawaiian was a very smart young man. He was employed with Hagler’s Grocery Store of Buena Vista for several years.  He was later employed with Muckalee Creek Farm, Inc. as a machine operator.  Farming was a passion for Hawaiian.

“Man that is born of a woman is of few days, and full of trouble.  He cometh forth like a flower, and is cut down; he fleeth also as a shadow, and continueth not.” Born in a family of nine, he was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, and three brothers.  He now joined those who has gone on before him.

Left with a legacy of love and many memories are his beloved children including Kelsey Sales, Columbus, Georgia, Jawaiian Sales, Buena Vista, Georgia, and Jessica Sales (Juan), Lawrenceville, Georgia; five grandchildren, Tyson, Kadin, Khloe, Kaitlyn and Kevin; five sisters, Bobbie McKinney, Annie Rose Walton, Crystal Gilder (Roosevelt), and Anita Wimbush (Elem), all of Buena Vista, Georgia, and Ozella Walton (Willie), Columbus, Georgia; one uncle, Kenneth Beckford, Greenville, South Carolina; a host of nieces and nephews including Hayward Walton, Jr. and Donnell Sales; and a host of beloved cousins and friends.

It's the little things, that you'll remember. Those memories will help push the pain away and bring back the smiles. We are praying for the family in this difficult time. May his soul rest in peace.
