I worked with Fred at Cooper Tire and so loved his loud but humble spirit. He was an encourager in every sense of the word. I loved to hear him sing old spiritual songs.. and what a hard working man, he was. No free rides with Fred.. Respect was earned and not given lightly. I will miss that man very much. It was an honor to have been his friend!

Fred..my sweet brother in law..I love you because no matter hoe hard you tried to be there wasn't a mean bone in your body. You showed me that good black men do exist and I thank you for that. You were always the uncle that my babies could look up to...and I thank you for that. Thank you for loving my sister, my nieces and nephew. Fred.

I know it would have been a honor to meet you. You seem as if you were a great guy and very much loved. You seemed like a pretty well liked guy and everyone enjoyed being around your free spirit. You touched many people in numerous of ways....rest easy.
