Frank Hubbard, Sr.

Mr. Frank Hubbard Sr., age 88, passed on April 21, 2019.

The funeral service will be held at 12:00 P.M., Saturday, April 27, 2019 at First Salem Baptist Church, 191 Church Road, Montezuma, Georgia. Burial will follow at Champ Waters Cemetery in Montezuma, Georgia.

Frank was born January 5, 1931 in Montezuma, Georgia to the late Jim Hubbard and the late Mary Trice Hubbard. He was preceded in death by eight siblings, Ananius Hubbard, Elder J. H. Hubbard, Johnnie Lee Hubbard, Mamie Hubbard Stinson, Lillie B. Hubbard McKenzie, Timothy Hubbard, Willie Marie Hubbard, and Lena Mae Hubbard Hillmon. He attended local church schools in Macon County.  He accepted Christ as his personal Savior and joined First Salem Baptist Church at an early age. He was employed with Georgia Power and the City of Montezuma as an Equipment Operator. On June 15, 1955 Frank married the love of his life, Hattie McDonald.

He leaves to cherish his memories: a devoted wife of  63 years Hattie Hubbard, Montezuma, Georgia; six children Shirley Hubbard Leggett (Arthur), Oglethorpe, Georgia, Frank Hubbard Jr., Montezuma, Georgia, Earl Hubbard, Athens, Georgia, Bobby Hubbard (Rosetta), Montezuma, Georgia, Sennie Searcy (Stanley), Montezuma, Georgia, Timothy Hubbard (Latinia), Montezuma, Georgia;  15   grandchildren; a host of great  and great great grandchildren; siblings, Annie Lee Thomas (Samuel), Linda Johnson, Vera Solomon, all of Montezuma, Georgia, Mary L. Collier, Perry, Georgia, Myra Hubbard Oliver, Montezuma, Georgia, Jet Hubbard (Barbara), and Thomas Hubbard,  all of Columbus, Ohio; sisters-in-law, Emma Jean McDonald,  Louise Baldwin, both of Montezuma, Georgia and  Mary McDonald, Oglethorpe, Georgia; a host of nieces, nephews, including a devoted nephew Marvin.

I would like to send my heartfelt condolences to the family of Mr. Hubbard. I know losing a love one in death is hard but the almighty god tell us at (ps.34:18,19) that he is close to those who is broken at heart. I am so sorry for your loss

Mrs. Hattie please keep the joyful memories of your husband alive in your heart. But at the same time never become burdened down with sorrow. Because the bible assures us that "just a little while longer and death will be no more." We too have lost love ones in desth and look forward to that time. Lenoris and Glenda Rogers.
