
The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Friday, December 23, 2016 at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, GA Hwy 49 South, Marshallville, Georgia, where the Reverend Victor Johnson is pastor. The Reverend Preston King, Pastor of Bethel Baptist Church, will officiate. Interment will follow in the Colonel Felton Cemetery, 502 South Street, Marshallville, Georgia.
Felman Paster, Jr. was born September 4, 1946 to Grace McKenzie Paster and the late Felman Paster, Sr. in Marshallville, Georgia. He was preceded in death by two siblings, Ella Mae Harris and Hazel Dianne Ellis. Felman was educated in the public school system of Macon County and was a 1965 graduate of the historic D.F. Douglass High School in Montezuma, Georgia. Following graduation he continued his education at Fort Valley State University. At an early age he confessed Jesus Christ as his personal Savior and joined the band of Christian Believers at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Reverend Grimes. During his tenure he served on the Deacon Board Ministry and personally aided in the construction of the new addition to Mt. Calvary Baptist Church. For nineteen years he was employed with the Blue Bird Body Company in Fort Valley, Georgia. He later went on to work and retired from Boeing Georgia Inc. as a CQI Team Leader in 1994.
On March 3, 1966, Felman was united in holy matrimony to the former Betty Harris. To this union, they were blessed with eight children. Two children, Vincent Leon Paster and Charlene Paster, preceded him in death.
He leaves to cherish his memories: a beloved wife of fifty years, Betty Paster, Marshallville, Georgia; six children, Terrace Paster (Lauri), Keith Paster (Susan), all of Tacoma, Washington, Radis Paster (Kimberly), Deatsville, Alabama, Prelvis Paster (Sondra), Macon, Georgia, Pretandra Larry, and Curtis Paster, both of Marshallville, Georgia; thirteen grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; his mother, Mrs. Grace McKenzie-Paster, Marshallville, Georgia; five siblings, Mary Harris, Mary Bonner (Robert Lee), Terry Paster (Jessie Mae), all of Marshallville, Georgia, Ernestine McGhee, Fort Valley, Georgia, and Betty Furgerson, Akron, Ohio; uncle, Felton McKenzie (Norma Jean), Marshallville, Georgia; aunts, Bernice Howard, Marshallville, Georgia, Susie Johnson, Miami, Florida, Earlene Walters, Hartford, Connecticut; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and devoted friends.
