Mr. Eugene Wade, age 89, 205 McKaskal Street, Montezuma, Georgia died April 3, 2014.
The funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Sunday, April 6, 2014 at the Oglethorpe Funeral Chapel, Inc., 607 Kaigler Street, Oglethorpe, Georgia. Interment will follow in the Brown Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery, Georgia Highway 224, Montezuma, Georgia. Elder Marion Green, pastor of Holy House of God, will officiate.
Mr. Wade was born October 12, 1924 in Montezuma, Macon County, Georgia to the late Eula Brown Snead. He was educated in the public school system of Macon County. He lived in Cordele, Georgia for many years. During this time, he was employed with the railroad.
Survivors include a beloved niece and caretaker, Mary Darity, Montezuma, Georgia; his siblings, Ammie Lee Davis, Nellie Walker, Eva Nelson and Bud Brown all of Montezuma, Georgia, Annie Brown and Roscoe Brown both of Miami, Florida; a host of beloved nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends including, Virginia Hill of Montezuma, Georgia.
