Memorial services for Ervin Cook will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, April 25, 2020 at the Oglethorpe Funeral Chapel, 607 Kaigler Street, Oglethorpe, Georgia.
Please also be mindful that we will adhere to all government recommendations and mandates to limit the number of attendees at all services at this time. We are limiting the number of attendees to no more than 10 at the funeral home chapel services and graveside services. We thank you for your understanding and patience during this time
Ervin Cook was born May 6, 1952 to the late Willie Cook Sr. and the late Emma Finch. He was educated through the public school system of Sumter County. He served in the United States Army for several years.
On Friday, April 10, 2020 at the Pruitt Health-Valdosta Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, it pleased our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to remove Ervin from this walk of life and this troublesome world to reside in a world of peace and tranquility. Ervin was preceded in death by two brothers: Willie Cook Jr. and Larry Cook.
He leaves to mourn and cherish his memories: two daughters, Erika Cooks, Lehigh, Florida, Destiny Black, Atlanta, GA; a son, Irvin Cook, Americus, Georgia; a grandchild: Aziah Campbell, Lehigh, Florida; siblings Annette Westbrook, Lester Cook, Rosa Cooper and Edward Cook; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
