Graveside services, including burials, are likely to be held on ground that is uneven, which is out of the control of Oglethorpe Funeral Chapel, Inc. We ask that you take this into consideration when choosing footwear, such as shoes with high, thin heels. Please be advised that Oglethorpe Funeral Chapel, Inc. will not be held responsible for injuries at a grave site because of this.
Mrs. Eloise "Lois" Spikes was born to the late Louise Frederick and the late Samuel Callaway in Perry, Georgia. She acquired her education from the Burdett School of Business in Boston, MA (high honors) and Macon County High School. She retired from Emory University Hospital after 31 years.
Lois knew no strangers. She opened her doors to many of her family members and friends and nourished them with food, love, kindness and endless stories. With strong determination and will, she faced each day with the strength of a bull and the memory of an elephant.
