
The funeral service will be conducted at 12:00 P.M., Tuesday, May 7, 2019 Rocky Hill Primitive Baptist Church, 3498 Concord Church Road, Ellaville, Georgia. Burial will follow in the Church cemetery.
Mrs. Elizabeth Kemp Moore was born in Swainsboro, Emanuel County, Georgia on October 1, 1916 to the parentage of the late Ada Carr Barbar and John Barbar. She attended public school in Emanuel County. Years later, she was united in holy matrimony to the late Ananias Moore. She was the mother of eleven children; two children, Donald Moore and Ronnie Moore, preceded her in death, along with one brother, Rufus Barbar. Ms. Elizabeth joined Rocky Hill Primitive Baptist Church where she served as mother of the church and clerk faithfully until her health failed. In a car, boat, or bus she enjoyed traveling whenever she had the opportunity. She also loved to fish. She would always instill the importance of education to those she loved. She spent countless hours at her children’s school. She loved to read the Bible and other educational literature. Her love for Christ was demonstrated through her unselfish acts of kindness. She welcomed numerous family and friends into her home where she fed them and often provided a place to sleep. She was a foster mother and spiritual mother to many. People loved to be in her presence listening to good sound advice. With her humorous personality, she kept everybody laughing.
She leaves to cherish her memories: nine children, Mary J. Moore Howard (Curly), Cleveland, Ohio, George Moore (Josie) Eatonton, Georgia, Obie Moore (Louise) Decatur, Georgia, Clara P. Harvey (Joe), Atlanta, Georgia, Rubie L. Moore, Ellaville, Georgia, Dennis Moore (Albena) Ellaville, Georgia, I John Moore (Sandra), Myra Moore, and Virga L. Moore all of Ellaville, Georgia; two daughter-in-laws Ethelene Moore, Atlanta, Georgia and Maude Williams Moore, Anchorage, Alaska; thirty-five grandchildren, seventy-nine great grandchildren, twenty-three great great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She will also be missed by two special friends, Mrs. Mary Culpepper and Mrs. Amanda Smith.
