Elizabeth Jones, age 72, 134 Brady Street, Apt. 438 A, Buena Vista, Georgia passed Sunday, April 17, 2016 at the Magnolia Manor Marion, Buena Vista, Georgia.
The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, April 23, 2016 at Quebec Baptist Church, Georgia Highway 26 West, Ellaville, Georgia, where Reverend Clinton Aldridge is pastor. Pastor Annie Statum of Love and Peace Ministries, Buena Vista, Georgia, will officiate. Interment will follow at the Hopewell Cemetery, Hopewell Road, Ellaville, Georgia.
Mrs. Elizabeth Greene Jones was born December 13, 1943 in Schley County, Georgia to the late J. D. Greene and Mamie Ola Perry Greene. She was married to the late John H. Jones, Sr. She was a graduate of Buena Vista High School of Buena Vista, Georgia and a member of Quebec Baptist Church of Ellaville, Georgia. After many years of dedicated services, she retired from Buena Vista High School as a Custodian. She was preceded in death by her husband and one daughter, Lori Anne Jones Wright. She was also preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, A. D. Greene and Willie Greene Sr..
She leaves a legacy of love and memories to her beloved family which include the following: three children, Carol (Tony) Ford, Mary Louise Jones and John H. Jones, Jr. (his companion, Silva Ghant), all of Buena Vista, Georgia; eight grandchildren, Latasha Wright Ghant (Anthony), Anisha Jones, Talika Wright, Bobby Wright, Jr., Gregory Jones, Kendra Wright, Quantivis Jones, and Garricas Jones; a host of beloved great grandchildren; five siblings, Edward Greene, Arthur Franklin Sr., Ulysses Franklin, Jesse Franklin (Joyce), and Essie Franklin, all of Buena Vista, Georgia; aunts and uncles, Sandra Perry Johnson, Cynthia Perry Nickles (Stanley), Raymond Perry, John L. Perry, all of Jacksonville Florida, James Perry (Berna), Phenix City, Alabama, Gwendolyn Miller, Hartford, Connecticut; a host of beloved nieces, nephews, others relatives, and loving friends, including the Quebec Baptist Church Family.
