Graveside services will be held 11:00 A.M., Thursday, September 30, 2021 at Oglethorpe City Cemetery, Memorial Drive, Oglethorpe, Georgia.
Please be mindful that we will adhere to all government recommendations and mandates at all services at this time. We are limiting graveside seating to no more than 10 with masks being strongly encouraged. Other masked attendees are welcomed but will be expected to practice social distancing.
Graveside services, including burials, are likely to be held on ground that is uneven, which is out of the control of Oglethorpe Funeral Chapel, Inc. We ask that you take this into consideration when choosing footwear, such as shoes with high, thin heels. Please be advised that Oglethorpe Funeral Chapel, Inc. will not be held responsible for injuries at a grave site because of this.
Edward English Jr. was born on February 25, 1961 in Macon County, Georgia to the late Edward English Sr. and the late Lillie Tookes English. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Lillie Pearl Greene, Linda English, Carrie “Tank” English McLendon; one nephew, Cameron McLendon; and a brother-in-law, Bernard “Bay-Bay- McLendon.
He was educated in the public school system of Macon County where he attended the historic D.F. Douglass High School. Edward was employed as a construction/mason worker.
Edward entered into eternal rest on September 24, 2021. A precious one from us is gone; a voice we love is now still. A place is vacant in our hearts that can nevermore be filled.
He leaves to cherish his memories his children three sons and daughter-in-law, Alex Tyler English (Moriah Blaze) English, of Reed Springs, Eric Edward English of Kissee Mills, MO, and Joshua Eugene English of Forsyth, MO; five grandchildren Dominick Blaze English, Lillian (Lilli) Mae English, Willow Jade-Marie English, Roman Tyler English of Reed Springs, Mo., and Michael Wallace English of Forsyth, MO; nieces, LaWanda Greene-McCullum (Tommy) and Tameka Mclendon; nephews, Jarvis English, Fredrick English (Cryshonda), Anthony English, and Gary English (Valorie); a special friend, Pamela Hapson; an aunt, Bessie Barnes, New York; a host of other beloved relatives and friends.
