Deacon Briggs (and family), on behalf of Friendship Baptist Church in Desoto, Georgia, please know that our hearts go out to you, our minds are set on Sis Doris and our love and appreciation of you and Doris will never be forgotten. She was beautiful both inside and out and made such an impression on us that we will hold forever such memories. We already know that you too, feel the same way and thus, death has no power to hold down a life well lived and pleasing to Christ to be forever alive in your heart with precious memories.. Our friend, we will pray in the days to come that you find the deservant peace we think Doris would have you to be in knowing that she is being comforted in the hands of the ALMIGHTY so cry if you wish, but she is at peace, loving you..

My sincere condolences to Deacon Briggs and the entire Briggs family from Yolanda Franklin and The Shepherd House in Ft. Valley, GA. Mother Doris Briggs was a spiritual pillar in my life and the lives of my 4 girls. She walked in love and was loved by all she meet. She left a lasting impression and I will never forget her. I still remember traveling to Cedine’s Women Conference with her and she taught me so many life lessons that I still live by today! She will never be forgotten.

Briggs Family, Jesus, told His followers, “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe in Me as well. . . . Peace I leave with you; My peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives” (John 14:1, 27, NIV). I pray for “the peace of God, which transcends all understanding” to guard my heart and mind (Philippians 4:7, NIV). I pray for peaceful sleep. I pray to God for peaceful thoughts and emotions to rule your days and nights as you journey through this bereavement journey. We love you all so very much. May God grant you and your family the strength to bear this loss. Selah
