Ms. Delois Kaigler Dunn, fell asleep in death at Houston Medical Center, Warner Robins, Georgia on Thursday morning, September 16, 2021, at the age of 72. She was born September 1, 1949, in Montezuma, Georgia to the late John David Kaigler and the late Louise Harris Kaigler Francis. Delois was the fifth of six siblings and was affectionately known as Miss DD. Delois was preceded in death by two brothers, Willie B. "Bo Cat” Kaigler and Willie James “Boogie” Kaigler, one sister Wilma “Tunkbaby” Kaigler Tookes; and two daughters Amelia Louise Dunn and Jennifer Marlene Dunn.
On July 11, 1964, Delois was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She was a 1966 graduate of the historic D. F. Douglass High School in Montezuma, Georgia. July 1, 1966, Delois was united in holy matrimony to Army Dunn to this union they were blessed with eight children.
Delois enjoyed learning about her loving God Jehovah and all the promises He made for the future. She also enjoyed cooking for her family, spending time with her children and grandchildren, playing spades, dancing, and fishing was her favorite pastime (she loved the calmness of the water). Delois also owned and operated two restaurants and was a retired school bus driver.
Delois leaves a legacy of love and many fond memories to her beloved family which includes her six remaining, loving children, LaTonya Zakzak (Lawrenceville, Georgia), Marcus Dunn Sr. (Keshia) (Bonaire, Georgia) Joseph Dunn (Valerie) (Lawrenceville, Georgia) Rhoshunda Dunn Brown (Johnny) (Reynolds, Georgia), David Dunn (Tiffany) (Warner Robins, Georgia) and Alanna Dunn Reese (Gregory) (Bonaire, Georgia), two siblings, Betty Solomon (Coleman) (Oglethorpe, Georgia) and Johnny Mae Hinton (Decatur, Georgia), devoted friend, Army Dunn (Oglethorpe, Georgia), and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends who will dearly miss her love, laughter, smiles, and words of wisdom.
