Deborah Jones Rhine, age 54, passed away Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at the Saint Francis Hospital, Columbus, Georgia.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Monday, August 17, 2015 at Mount Zion Baptist Church, McDuffie Street, Buena Vista, Georgia. Reverend Gregory Porter, Pastor, will officiate. Interment will follow in Mt. Zion A.M.E. Church Cemetery, Oliver Street, Buena Vista, Georgia.
Deborah Jones Rhine was born April 10, 1961. She is the daughter of Hattie Jones and the late Lonzo Jones. A host of uncles and aunts also preceded her in death.
She was a 1978 graduate of Tri–County High School. She attended Albany State University of Albany, Georgia where she pursued a degree in Business. She was a member of Yuletide Chapter #383. At an early age, she joined the Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Buena Vista, Georgia. She served as a Deaconess and a choir member. She was employed as the city clerk for Buena Vista for many years and later for the city of Cusseta, until her health declined.
She leaves to cherish her memories: a loving and devoted mother, Hattie Jones of Buena Vista, Georgia; aunts, Susie Minter, Columbus, Georgia and Catherine Fudge, an aunt whom she cherished and called Aunt Catherine; a host of cousins and friends, including two devoted Louvenia Clark, Buena Vista, Georgia and Lamont Daise, Phoenix City, Alabama.
