The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Friday February 27, 2015 at Zion Hill Primitive Baptist Church, Georgia Highway 240, Ellaville, Schley County, Georgia. Interment will follow in the Church cemetery. Elder Nathan Rolle, pastor, will officiate.
Deacon Eddie Lee Stovall, Sr. was born March 18, 1930 in Ellaville, Schley County, Georgia to the late Elnora Brazil Davenport and the late Rubin Stovall, Sr. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Rubin Stovall, Jr. and Arthur Brown. He acquired his education in the public school system of Schley County. He was married to the late Elizabeth Peeples Stovall, and to this union they were blessed with one son, Eddie Lee Stovall, Jr. He was a member of Zion Hill Primitive Baptist Church where he served faithfully as a deacon and cemetery sexton.
He was self-employed as a carpenter, plumber, and was owner of the historic Disco City of Ellaville, Georgia.
He leaves a legacy of golden memories to his beloved sons, Deacon Eddie Lee (Chiquetta) Stovall, Jr., Warner Robins, Georgia, Mario Smith (his fiancée, Andrea Lundy), and Antawan Smith, Sr. all of Ellaville, Georgia; eleven grandchildren; two sisters, Willie Mae Willis and Ernestine Carter both of Talbotton, Georgia; uncle, Antie Lewis Brown, Buena Vista, Georgia; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, William (Lorene) Smith, Ellaville, Georgia, Mary Gladys Peeples, and Paul Peeples, both of Jersey City, New Jersey and Clara Peeples, McDonough, Georgia; and a host of beloved nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
