
The funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 P.M., on Sunday, February 10, 2019 at the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, Drayton Road, Byromville, Dooly County, Georgia. The Rev. Governor Gibson, Pastor, will officiate. Interment will follow in the Champ Waters Cemetery, 191 Twin Church Road, Montezuma, Georgia.
Darrow better known as Jack, Gus and Bat Might, was born April 25, 1959 in Montezuma, Macon County, Georgia to the late Anias Hubbard Sr. and the late Helen Louise Beal Hubbard. Two brothers, Willie B. Hubbard and John Thomas Hubbard, and one sister-in-law, Joann C. Hubbard and a great niece, Ta’Mya R. Collier, preceded him in death.
He was educated in the public school system of Macon County where he was a 1977 graduate of the historic D.F. Douglass High School. In 1977 he enlisted into the United States Army. He continued to serve his country as a soldier in the National Guard Armory and was honorably discharged. His time of service was from 1977-1981 and was called for active duty May 1, 1992.
He joined Travelers Rest C.M.E. Church as a young boy and later moved his membership to Pleasant Hill Baptist Church of Byromville, Georgia under the leadership of Rev. Governor Gibson where he served faithfully as a Deacon.
Left to cherish his memories are a beloved grandmother, Beatrice Roberts; brother Anais (Laura) Hubbard, Jr. and reared together like a sister Brenda Ellis; aunts and uncles, Myra Oliver, Mary Louise Collier, Annie (SJ) Thomas, Vera Solomon, Linda Johnson, Frank (Hattie) Hubbard, Millard (Jannie) Beal, Robert (Vera) Beal, Annie Lou Smith, Obbie Beal, Tommie (Cynthia) Beal, Raymond Beal, Beverly (Hayward) Harper, Willie Sanders, Ernestine Sanders and Harriett Sanders; nieces/nephews, Tammi (Marcus) Lumpkin, Janet (Jermaine) Johnson, Jacinta, Demarcus, Jamila, Jalil, Evita (Kelvin) Glover, Kyndall (Marqist) Baisden, Berneka, Anquilitus, Deon, Jermaine Jr., Ja’Kayla, Roderick Jr, Ta’Rige, Joi, Jameica, George, Jr. and Skyy; devoted cousins and friends, Anthony (Jackie) Brown, Clarence (Joann) Witchard, Gary (Jackie) Roberts, Willie (Angela) Roberts, Marvin Joiner, Bobby Joiner, Ronnie Standifer, James Fudge, James Tookes, Robert C.
