Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, November 28, 2020 at Lebanon Cemetery, Travelers Home Road, Ideal, Georgia.
Please be mindful that we will adhere to all government recommendations and mandates at all services at this time. We are limiting graveside seating to no more than 10 with masks being strongly encouraged. Other masked attendees are welcomed but will be expected to practice social distancing.
Graveside services are likely to be held on ground that is uneven, which is out of the control of Oglethorpe Funeral Chapel, Inc. We ask that you take this into consideration when choosing footwear, such as shoes with high, thin heels. Please be advised that Oglethorpe Funeral Chapel, Inc. will not be held responsible for injuries at a grave site because of this.
Darrell Curtis Ivory, known by family and friends as “Dap,” was born on May 19, 1960 in Miami, Florida to the parentage of the late Ocie L. McCants Ivory and Curtis Foster of Miami, Florida. Dap was educated in the public school system of Macon County. He was joined in holy matrimony to Gloria Price Ivory of Americus, Georgia and to this union one child was born. Dap was employed with Flint River Logging Company for several years until his health failed. He was preceded in by his mother, Ocie L. McCants Ivory, and three brothers Michael, Kelly, and Mark.
Left to cherishes his memories are his daughter, Cecelia Olivia Ivory, Americus, Georgia; three sisters, Gloria James, Debra Ivory, Carlia Walker (Tony) all of Oglethorpe, Georgia; two brothers, Demetrius Ivory (Jackie) of Oglethorpe, Georgia, Rod Ivory (Tonya), Montezuma, Georgia; three aunts, Betsy L. Raines, Ida Pearl McCants, and Cynthia Banks all of Oglethorpe, Georgia; two uncles, JW McCants (Margret), Aaron McCants (Karen); a special friend, Betty Mann of Oglethorpe, Georgia; companion, Cheryl Heath of Waycross, Georgia; a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
