The funeral service will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, August 14, 2014 at Mt. Pleasant/Travelers Rest C.M.E. Church, Norris Street, Montezuma, Georgia. Reverend Sidney Kendrick, pastor, will officiate. Interment will follow in the Andersonville National Cemetery- Rostrum, 496 Cemetery Road, Andersonville, Georgia.
Daniel was born in Montezuma, Macon County, Georgia on August 7, 1961 to the late Lessie Standifer and Dan B. Clarke. He was preceded in death by six siblings, Mary Clark, June Baldwin, Diane Harris, Constance Jones, Dan B. Clark, Jr., and Carolyn Mallard.
Daniel was educated in the public school system of Macon County, where he was a 1980 graduate of the D. F. Douglass High School. After his completion of high school, he joined the United States Army. He was the recipient of the Army Service Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal and the Expert (rifle, and grenade). He also completed an 8 week Personnel Administrative Course in Battalion Training, and 1 weeklong Management Training Workshop.
Survivors include his children, Kimesha Clark, Daniella Clark and D’Tonius Clark all of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; siblings, Muriel Harris (Willie James), Oglethorpe, Georgia, Betty Jean Clark, Jacqueline Clark, Manuel Clark, Constance Baldwin, Dan B. Clark, Jr., all of Montezuma, Georgia; one aunt, Bessie Kate Standifer of Montezuma, Georgia; and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
