Dana Cartrell Johnson, age 48, passed February 2, 2019 Wellstar Kennestone Hospital, Marietta, Georgia.
 
The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, February 9, 2019 at the Lebanon Baptist Church, 403 Bottsford Road, Plains, Georgia. Burial will follow in Israel Cemetery, Americus, Georgia. Reverend George Monts will officiate.
 
Dana Cartrell Johnson was born in Sumter County, Georgia August 6, 1970 to Jacquelyn Johnson Walton and Henry Myrick.  He was a graduate of Lee County High School of Leesburg, Georgia.  He pursued a degree in maintenance engineering from South Georgia Technical College of Americus, Georgia.  He later continued his studies at Albany Area Technical College of Albany, Georgia where he acquired his second degree in Maintenance Engineering. He was employed with the NYPRO Atlanta Inc. as a maintenance engineer of the Crystal Spring Water Plant. His spiritual growth begins in his youthful life at Zion Hope Baptist Church, Sumter City Community.
 
He leaves a legacy of love and many fond memories to his beloved family which include his loving parents: Jacquelyn Johnson Walton, Smithville, Georgia and Henry (Panella) Myrick, Hephzibah, Georgia; his siblings, Tyler Walton, Smithville, Georgia, Keven Myrick, Hephizabah, Georgia, Juana Chante’ Myrick, and Karen Myrick all of Augusta, Georgia, Troy Walton (Doris), and Shantae (Coby) Richardson all of  Atlanta, Georgia and NaTasha Mosley, Washington, D.C.; aunts, Regenia (Albert) Wright, Miami, Florida, Jacqueline (Larry) Myrick-Lane, Albany, Georgia, Linda Thompson, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Brenda Johnson, Mary Johnson and Alice Ruth Johnson, all of Smithville, Georgia; uncles, Thomas (Benita) Myrick, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Ernest Solomon, Americus, Georgia; two great aunts, Bobbie Balkcom, Americus, Georgia and Evelyn Smothers, North Carolina; a host of nieces and nephews; a host of beloved cousins including one devoted, Casandra “Missy” Barnes, Albany, Georgia; and a host of devoted friends.

To the Johnson family my deepest sympathy goes out to you all. It never easy when someone we love so dear dies, but the Bible gives us hope at lsaiah 25: 8 God promise that death will be done away with.

I would like to send my heartfelt
condolences to the family I know losing a love one in death is very sad but we can all look forward to the time when the almighty God resurrect them back to life (John 5:28,29).I am so sorry for your loss
