We are so sorry for your loss. The death of a love one can be extremely difficult to cope with. Many have allowed the words found there in God's word the bible to comfort them during their time of grief especially the words found there at 1Cor.15 26 and Acts 24:15. The bible repeatedly speaks about the elimination of death and a time when we will see our love ones again. Do take courage in those verses and know you are in our prayers...

I am deeply saddened by the loss of our very close family friend. Courtney joined our family about 11 years ago and regardless of what was going on in his life he remained a close friend to each of us. He was an absolutely dedicated and loving father to my nephew Tristinn, and an amazing friend to my baby sister Shambervia (Breon) Foster. He was the epitome of humility and always displayed a kind, caring disposition. My family truly loved Courtney and will miss him greatly. We will cherish the many memories that we shared and continue to look to God for comfort. My sincere condolences are extended to all of his family and friends. I am trusting God to comfort, strengthen, and provide each of us with a peace that surpasses all understanding.

Shirley raised some awesome young men. Very respectful & humble. Kind & friendly. No matter the adversities, he trust God & the plans God had for his life. He made an impact on a lot of our lives in the short time he was here on earth; that's a blessing. I pray God gives each of you the strength & courage you need to get through this tough time and be able to cope with his passing. I believe that he was happy & wearing a smile.

Shirley, I don't know you personally but I am a parent. I truly want to extend my sincere condolences in the loss of your son Courtney. Losing a loved one is always difficult, but when it is your child, it is heartbreaking!! May your family, friends and most of all Almighty God be with and comfort you in the days and months ahead. (Isaiah 41:10, 13; Psalm 83:18; Rev 21:4) Please try to get the brochure, "When Someone You Love Dies" (jw.org). It was a tremendous help for me during my time of lost. Again, my condolences and prayers for your family.

Shirley, I am so sorry for the loss of your son. A loved one passing is never easy, but we have the Almighty God to help us get through it all for he will comfort you in your time of need. (2 Corinthians 1:3,4) May you also be comforted by the outpouring of love surrounding you. A word of comfort in your time of sorrow is found at Isaiah 25:8 where we are told that God will do away with death forever and he will wipe away the tears from our faces.
