
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, November 13, 2021 at Eastview Cemetery, Ashby Street, Americus, Georgia.
Please be mindful that we will adhere to all government recommendations and mandates at all services at this time. We are limiting graveside seating to no more than 10 with masks being strongly encouraged. Other masked attendees are welcomed but will be expected to practice social distancing.
Graveside services, including burials, are likely to be held on ground that is uneven, which is out of the control of Oglethorpe Funeral Chapel, Inc. We ask that you take this into consideration when choosing footwear, such as shoes with high, thin heels. Please be advised that Oglethorpe Funeral Chapel, Inc. will not be held responsible for injuries at a grave site because of this.
Costella Williams Bromfield was born May 15, 1936 to the late Lissie Boone Williams and the late Lyn Williams. She is preceded in death by her siblings: five sisters and four brothers. She was educated in the public school system of Americus, Georgia. She was a faithful member of Calvary Episcopal Church. Costella was employed with Marriott Catering services where she provided food preparation for airlines. She was joined in holy matrimony to the late Alfred Bromfield Sr. and to this union one son was born whom also preceded her in death Alfred Bromfield Jr. Costella enjoyed gardening and spending time with family.
She leaves to cherish her memories two grandchildren Zandra R. Broomfield and Teanna C. Bromfield; two great grandchildren; a host of beloved nieces and nephews including her devoted nieces and caregiver, Joann Waymon, Veronica Williams, Mary Atkins, Leslie Curtis, Angela Clark, Ikeia Burns, Myrtice Johnson and a devoted nephew Willie Johnson; three sisters-in-law, Ola Mae Williams, Annie Nelson, and Lovie Williams and devoted friends, Freddie (Gretha) Perry and Phillip (Mary) Perry.
