The funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Sunday, December 4, 2022, at Shady Grove Baptist Church, 5311 White Water Road, Ideal, Georgia. Burial will follow at the Oglethorpe City Cemetery, Memorial Drive, Oglethorpe, Georgia.
Graveside services, including burials, are likely to be held on ground that is uneven, which is out of the control of Oglethorpe Funeral Chapel, Inc. We ask that you take this into consideration when choosing footwear, such as shoes with high, thin heels. Please be advised that Oglethorpe Funeral Chapel, Inc. will not be held responsible for injuries at a grave site because of this.
Clifford Thomas Stewart, known to many as Rabbit, was born May 1, 1963, in Macon County, Georgia to Wedie Bell Brown Stewart and the late E.C. Stewart. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Larry Stewart and Annie Bell Stewart. He was educated in the public school system of Macon County where he attended the historic D.F. Douglass High School. He received his GED from the Job Corps in Albany, Georgia and his certification as a brick mason. He relocated to Atlanta, Georgia in 1979 and was employed as a construction worker with Morley Water Proofing Company for over twenty years.
He leaves to cherish his memories to his daughter Anika Stewart, Atlanta, Georgia; mother, Wedie Bell Stewart, Montezuma, Georgia; four siblings Charlie Brown, Montezuma, Georgia, Gloria Stewart, Patricia Stewart, both of Oglethorpe, Georgia and Betty Jean Stewart, Montezuma, Georgia; aunts and uncles Susie Lumpkin, Montezuma, Georgia, Vernestine Brown, Miami, Florida, Daisy Stewart, Hampton, Virginia, Leo and Sarah Stewart, Oglethorpe, Georgia, Charlie C. Stewart, Aliquippa, Pennsylvania, Rosa Brown, Sanford, Florida; eight nephews including two devoted nephews Levario Stewart, Lemario Larry, Charles Brown Jr., Maurice Long (Brandi), Darrian Felton, Dekeldric Felton, Javaris McDonald, and Curtavious McDonald; a host of other relatives and friends including a devoted friend, Ella Ruth Hollis.
