Graveside services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Sunday, December 6, 2020 at Eastview Cemetery, Ashby Street, Americus, Georgia.
Please be mindful that we will adhere to all government recommendations and mandates at all services at this time. We are limiting graveside seating to no more than 10 with masks being strongly encouraged. Other masked attendees are welcomed but will be expected to practice social distancing.
Graveside services are likely to be held on ground that is uneven, which is out of the control of Oglethorpe Funeral Chapel, Inc. We ask that you take this into consideration when choosing footwear, such as shoes with high, thin heels. Please be advised that Oglethorpe Funeral Chapel, Inc. will not be held responsible for injuries at a grave site because of this.
Chauncey Narrod Goodwin, affectionately known as "Chaunt," was born on November 25, 1995 in Americus, Georgia to Ira Wendell Goodwin and the late Jorvis Williams. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Robert Williams, Clydia Lee Brown, and Lonnie Goodwin Sr. He was educated in the public school of Sumter County. Chauncey worked as a Solar Panel Installer.
He leaves to cherish his memories three precious children, Kaleb Ja'Rod Daniels, Jordan Narod Goodwin, and Dilan Zihar Harris; father Ira Wendell Goodwin; three sisters, Quanteria Goodwin, Chazmine Tookes, Kewanda Ford; two brothers, Ja'Torian Goodwin and Devin Nash; grandmother, Annie Williams; two nephews, Chaston Daniels and Mason Daniels; a niece, Ava Daniels; aunts, Thelma McGarrah, Corrine Melton (Roney), Doris Christmas, Judy Wallace, Gwendlyn Brown, Yukeitha Hicks, and Salonda Mercer; uncles, Desie Williams Sr. (Tabitha), Reginald Williams, Hollis Munns, Bobbie Munns, Lonnie Goodwin, Charlie Williams, Frankie Williams, Jerome Williams, and Eddie Lee Williams; a host of cousins, relatives, and friends, including devoted cousins, Christopher Melton, Desie Williams Jr, DeEron Hicks, KeAsia Hicks, Destiney Williams, Cameron Williams, Bianca Munns, Calvin Smith, Exie Brown, Shominique Mitchell, Chacley Prince and DaQuarius Daniels; a very special friend, Shaquita Daniels; godfather and extended family, Rogers "Jack Daddy" Jackson, Rogers "Jack" Jackson and Ms. Eva "Granny" McFarley.
