
The funeral service will be held at 12:00 P.M., Thursday, July 19, 2018 at the Oglethorpe Funeral Chapel, 607 Kaigler Street, Oglethorpe, Georgia. Burial will follow at the Andersonville National Cemetery, 496 Cemetery Road, Andersonville, Georgia.
Charlie Clyde Wilson was born in Montezuma, Macon County, Georgia on May 17, 1941 to the late Nanita Wilson Felton and the late David Felton, Sr. He attended the public school system of Macon County where he was a graduate of the historic Flint River Farms School. Charlie was employed with Southern Frozen Foods as a Forklift Operator and Maintenance Worker. He served his country proudly in the United States Marine Corps. He was united in holy matrimony to the late Rose Ann Shelley Wilson.
He leaves a legacy of many fond memories to include his sisters and brothers, Harry Wilson, Sr. Atlanta, Georgia, David Felton, Jr. Oglethorpe, Georgia, Howard Felton, Oglethorpe, Georgia, Olivia Hubbert (James), Oglethorpe, Georgia, William Felton (Elnora), Oglethorpe, Georgia, and Patricia McClendon, Montezuma, Georgia; sisters-in-law, Gail Shelley and Mildred Porter; devoted friends; Emmitt Lockhart, Iris Turner, James Bryant; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
