Carla Ann Kleckley, age 53, passed away at her home on Sunday, December 6, 2020. Carla’s desire was to be cremated.

No arrangements for a memorial service have been made at this time.

Carla was born into the loving family of Johnny and Eva Kleckley, who both preceded her in death.

Carla, a lifelong resident of Macon County, was born on October 15, 1967. She received her education and graduated from Macon County High School. Her knack for fashion, style and love for children impelled her to further her education at South Georgia Technical School in the field of Cosmetology and Early Childhood Development.

Carla’s deep love for children enhanced her days working lovingly and diligently with her nephews and nieces also sharing her joy with the children of Kidz-R-Us Daycare for many years.

Carla enjoyed relishing in fashion as she was a true “fashionista”. She will always be known for her coordinated style of dress. From head-to-toe she flowed with coordination of colors, style, class, elegance and pizazz. Carla was also known for her great culinary skills in the kitchen, along with laughing, having a good time and being that go-to-person to have a genuine listening ear for sound advice.

Carla being raised with the truth of God’s word dedicated her heart and life to Jehovah, the only true God as one of his Christian Witnesses on May 7, 2016 and she shared her faith with others by means of the public door-to-door ministry and letter writing.

Carla was loved and will be missed by many. She leaves fond memories in the hearts of family; two sisters: Linda Kleckley Hankerson of Oglethorpe, Georgia and Jeshanah Kleckley of Americus, Georgia; two brothers: Donnie Kleckley and Tommy (Ruby) Kleckley of Oglethorpe, Georgia; nephews: Harold Hankerson, Jr (Lazetta) and their children Simone, Hailey and Harold Hankerson III aka “Trey” of Marietta, Georgia; nieces: Stacey (Timothy) Mathis and their children Timberly and Timothy D. Mathis aka “TJ” of Fort Valley, Georgia, and Candace Kleckley of Oglethorpe, Georgia.

A loving extended family: Betty Mathis of Ellenwood, Georgia; Marianne (Russell) Curry of Stockbridge, Georgia; Carolyn (Abner) Maloy of Montezuma, Georgia; Clara (Devaughn) McKenzie of Montezuma, Georgia; Doris Haugabook of Marshallville, Georgia and Jerome Haugabook of Atlanta, Georgia; A host of cousins, friends, and a Worldwide Spiritual family.

Death is a terrible enemy, there is nothing anyone can say that will ease your pain at this time. A scripture that has always been a favorite of mine is Psalm 34:18: “Jehovah is near to those that are broken at heart; and those who are crushed in spirit he saves.” Our prayers go out for you all. From your Christian family, Greg, Monica & Hannah Vazquez
