Graveside services will be conducted at 12:00 P.M., Saturday, April 10, 2021 at Lebanon Cemetery, Travelers Home Church Road, Ideal, Georgia. The Reverend Carl Munns, Pastor of Travelers Home Baptist Church.
Please be mindful that we will adhere to all government recommendations and mandates at all services at this time. We are limiting graveside seating to no more than 10 with masks being strongly encouraged. Other masked attendees are welcomed but will be expected to practice social distancing.
Graveside services are likely to be held on ground that is uneven, which is out of the control of Oglethorpe Funeral Chapel, Inc. We ask that you take this into consideration when choosing footwear, such as shoes with high, thin heels. Please be advised that Oglethorpe Funeral Chapel, Inc. will not be held responsible for injuries at a grave site because of this.
Brenda was born September 6, 1956 in Ideal, Macon County, Georgia to the late Emma Raines Cook and the late James Cook. She was a graduate of the D. F. Douglass High School and a member of the Travelers Home Baptist Church. Brenda was employed with Southern Frozen Food Inc. of Montezuma, Georgia as a line technician until she retired after failing health.
Survivors are three siblings, Barbara Lyles (Charles), Ideal, Georgia, Annie Cook (Wayne), Reynolds, Georgia and Joseph Cook, Ideal, Georgia; aunts and uncles include, Ilene Raines, Elouise Raines and Bennie Raines, Juliet Hosley Raines; two devoted nephews, Quentin Cottle (Debbie), Kathleen, Georgia, and Jamie Cottle, Oglethorpe, Georgia; a host of loving cousins include one devoted, John Collins (Ann), Kathleen, Georgia; and a host of other relatives and friends including Mack and Angela Montgomery and Mary Nell Tookes.
