A memorial Service will be conducted Saturday, August 12, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. at Hall Chapel C.M.E. Church. Reverend John Thomas, Pastor.
Bobby was born May 24, 1953 to the late Willie Mae Rushin. He was educated in the public-school system of Marion County, where he was a 1972 graduate of Marion County High School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and he was honorably discharged in 1981. He was the recipient of many awards and campaign metal from the Vietnam Era. He was a member of Hall Chapel C.M.E. Church where he served as a Steward, Treasurer, Trustee, and “Mr. Hall Chapel.” He was very faithful in all ministries of the church, whereas he supported every facet of the church he loved so well. He was united in holy matrimony to Alanda Walker on May 25, 1996. He was the father of one son Bobby Lee Rushin, Jr. and two step-children.
He leaves to cherish his memories, a wife Alanda Walker-Rushin, Buena Vista, Georgia; one son, Bobby Lee Rushin, Jr., Warner Robins, Georgia; two step-children, Antonio Minter, Buena Vista, Georgia, and Sean Holloman (Saneisa), Buena Vista, Georgia; four grandchildren, Baylee Sky Rushin, Atlanta, Georgia, Kennedy Paige Rushin, Tampa, Florida, Sean Holloman, Jr., and Makenlie Holloman, Buena Vista, Georgia; five sisters, Carolyn Rushin, Buena Vista, Georgia, Shirley Weaver, Columbus, Georgia, Joann Rushin, Buena Vista, Georgia, Mary Thomas (Johnnie), Buena Vista, Georgia, and Michelle Minter (John), Buena Vista, Georgia; Four Brothers, Donnie Rushin, Buena Vista, Georgia, Derrell Rushin, Buena Vista, Georgia, Lonnie Rushin, Buena Vista, Georgia, and Delton Rushin (Keshia), Albany, Georgia; aunt, Gladys Thomas, Buena Vista, Georgia; uncle, Claude Thomas (Jean), St. Jose, Florida; a host of nieces and nephews, including two devoted nieces, Toni Minter, Buena Vista, Georgia and Josalyn Ward-Brown (Jeffrey), DeQueen, Arkansas and one special great nephew, Kymani Bryant, Buena Vista, Georgia.
