Graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, April 24, 2020 at St. Louis C.M.E. Cemetery, 3829 Camp John Hope Road, Fort Valley, Georgia.
Please also be mindful that we will adhere to all government recommendations and mandates to limit the number of attendees at all services at this time. We are limiting the number of attendees to no more than 10 at the funeral home chapel services and graveside services. We thank you for your understanding and patience during this time.
Mr. Bennie was born August 1, 1969 in Marshallville, Macon County, Georgia to Bennie Rumph Jr. and Irish Dean Nedd. He was a 1987 graduate of the historic D. F. Douglass High School, Montezuma, Georgia. During his tenure at D. F. Douglass he enjoyed playing football and basketball. He retired from Arrow Head and Robins Air Force Base Department of beautification and landscaping as a small machine operator. He attended Saint James C.M.E. Church of Marshallville, Georgia. His hobby included repairing lawn mowers, weed eaters, and bicycles (he enjoyed riding his bike).
He leaves a host of beloved memories to his beloved family which includes: his parents, Bennie Rumph, Jr. Marshallville, Georgia and Mrs. Irish Nedd, Perry, Georgia; seven siblings, Iris Jean Rumph Barner (Larry), Macon, Georgia, Marilyn Rumph, Port St. Lucie, Florida, Arthur Rumph, Alex Rumph, Marshallville, Georgia, Pamela Rumph Matheny (Jere’) Lake Mary, Florida, Shanay Barner French (Keith), Ft. Valley, Georgia and Marilyn Barner, Warner, Robins, Georgia; aunts and uncles, Edna Nedd, Perry, Georgia, Jessie Sipp, Orlando, Florida, Willie Lou Leary, Marshallville, Georgia, J. C. Rumph (Annie Mae) and Eddie Rumph both of Ft. Myers, Florida; and a host of beloved nieces, nephews, including his favorite nieces, Brandesha Barnes, Shatorrica Barnes, and Keyonna Barnes, other relatives and friends.
