Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, August 15, 2020 at St. John Baptist Church Cemetery, Kaylor Road, Lee County, Georgia.
Please be mindful that we will adhere to all government recommendations and mandates to limit the number of attendees at all services at this time. We are limiting the number of attendees to no more than 10 at the funeral home chapel services and graveside services. We thank you for your understanding and patience during this time.
Arthur Lee Garry Jr. was born March 26, 1945 to the late Catherine Clark Garry and the late Arthur Lee Garry Sr. in Lee County, Georgia. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Claudia Mathews, and siblings, Mattie Sue Garry, Willie Lou Garry, Andrew Garry (Mary Lizzie). He was educated in the public school system of Lee County. At an early age he accepted Jesus as his personal Savior and joined the band of Christian believers at St. John Baptist Church. Arthur was employed as a farmer with Pace Farms in Leslie, Georgia. He was joined in holy matrimony to the late Lula Mae Deriso and to this union three children were born.
Left to cherish him always are his two children, Arthur James Garry Sr. (Christina), Americus, Georgia and Samuel Garry (Ella), Baconton, Georgia; fifteen grandchildren; a host of great and great great grandchildren; one brother, Charlie Garry, Americus, Georgia; a son-in-law, Jason Matthews, Camilla, Georgia; sisters and brothers-in-law, MacArthur Deriso, Vickie Mae Mathis both of Desoto, Georgia, Georgia Deriso, Leslie, Georgia, Arthur Lee Deriso (Betty), Dorothy Fuller (Walter), all of Desoto, Georgia, Bertha Ray (Charles), Cordele, Georgia, and Pearlie Deriso, Americus, Georgia; a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends including devoted friends, Ira Jones and Odessa Holley.
