The funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, July 27, 2013 at Bethel A.M.E Church, 406 River Road, Montezuma, Georgia. Interment will follow in Champ Waters Cemetery in Montezuma, Georgia.
Ann was born to Molly Bell Huff and Steve Huff, Sr. on August 5, 1927. Ann accepted Jesus Christ as her personal savior at a very early age and joined Bethel A.M.E. Church. After graduating from Macon County Training Center, Ann found the love of her life and was soon married to Oscar Ballard. Ann and Oscar spent most of their lives working in Chicago, Illinois. After retirement, they moved back to Montezuma, Georgia and became entrepreneurs. Ann’s parents, her three (3) brothers, three (3) sisters, as well as her husband, Oscar, predeceased her. She leaves to mourn many loving family members.
Survivors are her sister-in-law, Mamie Ballard; a host of nieces and nephews, Gina Huff (Bronx, NY), Ann Huff (Decatur, GA), Ruth Jackson (St. Petersburg), Sarah Cox (Milledgeville, GA), Lilian Young (Los Angeles, CA), Louise Jackson (Chicago, IL), Mance Johnson (Chicago, IL), Will Johnson (Chicago, IL), Waunell Williams (Farmingdale, NJ), Jeffery Williams (Farmingdale, NJ), Reginald Young (Tucker, GA), Virginia Sharif (Savannah, GA), Barry Farmer (Chicago, IL), Nedra Hubbard (Montezuma, GA), Charles Williams, (Perry, GA), Karen Ballard Montgomery (Birmingham, AL), Kimberly Ballard-Washington (Lawrence, GA), Sandy Lawson (Auburn, AL), and Eric Lawson (Jackson, GA); great Nieces and Nephews: Jimmy Neal (Montezuma, GA), Carolyn Neal (Hartford, CT), Faye Neal (Montezuma, GA), Bettye Neal (Montezuma, GA), Johnny B. Neal, Jr., Patrena Journey (Warner Robins, GA), Leonard Neal (Marietta, GA), Daryl Neal (Warner Robins), Curtis Neal (Columbia, SC), and Geraldine Neal Northcut (Oglethorpe, GA), Valerie Mitchell Johnson (Orlando, FL) and Tommy Mitchell (Orlando, FL); and goddaughters, Stephanie Kaigler-Johnson and Ruth Ann Joiner.
