Angela Hicks, age 56, passed on July 27, 2021 at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center, Americus, Georgia.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, July 31, 2021 in the Felton Chapel Cemetery, Ga Hwy 128, Oglethorpe, Georgia.
Please be mindful that we will adhere to all government recommendations and mandates at all services at this time. We are limiting graveside seating to no more than 10 with masks being strongly encouraged. Other masked attendees are welcomed but will be expected to practice social distancing.
Graveside services are likely to be held on ground that is uneven, which is out of the control of Oglethorpe Funeral Chapel, Inc. We ask that you take this into consideration when choosing footwear, such as shoes with high, thin heels. Please be advised that Oglethorpe Funeral Chapel, Inc. will not be held responsible for injuries at a grave site because of this.
Angela was born on July 5, 1965 in Oglethorpe, Georgia to Agnes Hicks and the late Robert Lee Edwards. She was preceded in death by one brother Walter Jefferson Hicks Sr. She was educated in the public school system of Macon County and completed school at the historic D.F. Douglas High School. She enjoyed crafts, boat building, and listening the soft rock music.
She leaves cherished memories to her mother Agnes Hicks, Oglethorpe, Georgia; three siblings, Rickey Hicks (Un Suk), Augusta, Georgia, Melvin Hicks (Kumi), Japan, Curtis Hicks (Jacqueline), Warner Robins, Georgia; nieces and nephews Isley Towns (Kimberly), Walter Hicks Jr. (Tieicha Beal), Elizabeth McDonald (Willie), Justin Hicks, Curtishia Hicks, Jacksonville, Florida, Curtis Hicks Jr., Keundra Tomlin (Phillipe), all of Warner Robins, Georgia, Jennifer Hicks, Cambridge, Maryland, Miru Hicks, Japan; aunts, Pearline Wiggins (Samuel), Orlando, Florida, Nudine Smith (Alvin); a host of loving family, friends, and a special cousin Dorothy Reynolds.
