Andrew Garry, Sr., age 67, 207 Staley Street, Americus, Georgia passed Saturday morning. December 17, 2011 at Phoebe Putney, Albany, Georgia.

The funeral service will be conducted at 12:00 noon, Friday, December 23, 2011 at the St. John Baptist Church, Allen Street, DeSoto, Georgia. Rev. Calvin James will officiate. Burial will follow in the Staley Memorial Cemetery, corner of Mayo Street and Souther Field Road, Americus, Georgia.

Mr. Garry was born February 6, 1944 to the late Arthur Lee Garry and Catherine Clark Garry. He was retired from Davidson Rubber Company as a welder and tool maintenance person. He was a member of the St. John Baptist Church where he served as a usher. He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Andrew Jackson Garry and a sister, Mattie Sue Garry.

Survivors are a beloved wife of forty eight years, Mary Robinson Garry, Americus, Georgia; four children, Cynthia Bell (Homer), Americus, Georgia, Dr. Tracie Sims, West Palm Beach, Florida, Regina Davis (Fred), Montezuma, Georgia and Cassie Garry (Sandra), Atlanta, Georgia; eight grandchildren and one great grandchild; siblings, Arthur Garry, Leslie, Georgia, Charlie Lee Garry, Americus, Georgia, Will Garry, Far Rockaway, New York, and Willie Lue Clark (Georgie) Farrockaway, New York; aunt, Sarah Lue Simpson, Boynton Beach, Florida; and a host of beloved nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

This is from your god daughter Lakiesha Sims A.K.A Polly I love u I just wanted to let u know that im glad to have you all in my life and wen i see yall it bring a smile to my face. Im trying to keep my head up but it hurt, i know that he up there in heaven looking down on us telling to keep pressing forward because the end is never the end it is always the beginning of a new life not for us for him(Mr. A. Garry). God have not forgot it will come to pass just believe in his world it will come to pass. Don't get discouraged he have his spirit her with us. we know that this body is just flesh if is not our heavnly home. This is a blessing we the lord call the roll that my gog father was ready to go and he told the lord that im ready and he told Andrew to come home and take ur rest ur work down here is done i have ur bed.i know that he is having a glorious time we will meet him ova there at the gate with lord welcoming us in with open arm.
