
Services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, December 12, 2020 at Champ Waters Cemetery, 191 Twin Church Road in Montezuma, GA.
Please be mindful that we will adhere to all government recommendations and mandates at all services at this time. We are limiting graveside seating to no more than 10 with masks being strongly encouraged. Other masked attendees are welcomed but will be expected to practice social distancing.
Graveside services are likely to be held on ground that is uneven, which is out of the control of Oglethorpe Funeral Chapel, Inc. We ask that you take this into consideration when choosing footwear, such as shoes with high, thin heels. Please be advised that Oglethorpe Funeral Chapel, Inc. will not be held responsible for injuries at a grave site because of this.
Mrs. Amdrilla M. Erskine was born February 2, 1961 to the parents of the late Harvey, Jr. and Rosie Jean Hudson in Montezuma, GA. Amdrilla was a 1979 graduate of Macon County High School in Montezuma, GA. After graduation she worked for a short time at Southern Frozen Foods and later moved to Hartford, CT. She was a CNA for Jefferson House in Newington, CT for many years. Her caring and compassionate spirit made her an amazing CNA. Her patients knew they were in good hands if she was taking care of them. Amdrilla loved cooking, shopping, couponing and most importantly talking.
Amdrilla had a very outgoing personality and was known to light up the atmosphere everywhere she went. Amdrilla loved to come back home to Montezuma and was known as “Queen B” by many. When she came home, she would cook meals for everybody who wanted something to eat. In Connecticut, she was known to all of her friends as “Angie.” It was in Hartford, CT where she met the love of her life, Mr. Delroy Erskine, and together they raised three beautiful children.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harvey Jr. and Rosie Jean Hudson, grandparents, Harvey Sr. and Bertha Hudson, Essie Mae and James Felton and Robert Burnam Sr. and four siblings: Brenda, Doris, Jacquelyn, and baby Hudson.
She leaves to cherish her memories a loving husband of 29 years, Delroy Erskine; three children, Kaydine Erskine-Hall (Jermaine) Norfolk, VA; Richard Erskine (Rocio) Germany; Sushane Erskine-Perry (Marquis) Honolulu, HI; siblings; Donald Hudson, Sr. (Gloria), Montezuma, GA; Dr. Beverly Gaines, Stockbridge, GA
Her pride and Joy - her grandchildren; Amari and Ariyanna Hall; Nicholas, Kaiden, Gabriella, Isabella, and Amelia Erskine; Jayda and Aliyah Perry.
