The funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, April 16, 2009 at First Salem Baptist Church, Twin Church Road, Montezuma, Georgia. Interment will follow in Champ Waters Cemetery, Montezuma, Georgia
Almon Joseph was born January 23, 1956 in Oglethorpe, Macon County, Georgia to the late Roy Joseph, Sr. and Maggie Lean Mason Joseph. He was educated in the public school system of Macon County. Three siblings, Roy Joseph, Jr., Henry Lee Joseph and Geraldine Joseph Ager preceded him in death.
He is survived by a loving and devoted sister, Plummie Fudge, Oglethorpe, Georgia; five children, Elizabeth Hicks, Reynolds Georgia, Dyneisha Joseph, Columbus, Georgia, Almon Jacoby Joseph, and LaDaria Leggett both of Oglethorpe, Georgia and DeVorris Singleton, Warner Robins, Georgia; nine grandchildren; a host of beloved nieces and nephews; uncles and aunts, Johnny Joseph (Corine), Willie Joseph (Alice) all of Gary, Indiana, Conelious Joseph, Warner Robins, Georgia, Mattie Pearl Harpe, Oglethorpe, Georgia, Norman Joseph, Ft. Valley, Georgia, Daisy Mae Joseph, Columbus, Georgia, Queen Ethel Mace, Perry, Georgia, Fred Mason, Jacksonville, Florida and Mattie Mason, Montezuma, Georgia; and a host of other relatives and friends.
