The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, January 19, 2012 at the Oglethorpe Funeral Chapel, Inc., 607 Kaigler Street, Oglethorpe, Georgia. Minister Lonnie Rogers will officiate. Interment will follow in the Oglethorpe City Cemetery, Oglethorpe, Georgia.
Mrs. Hunt was born April 19, 1966 in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois to the late Charles Calvin Byrd, Sr. and Ruby Mae Walker Byrd Harris. She was employed with Dollar General, Inc. of Montezuma, Georgia as store manager.
Survivors are a beloved son, Mark Anthony Hunt, Oglethorpe, Georgia; two brothers and two sisters-in-law, retired veteran Charles Byrd, Jr. (Nicole), Houston, Texas and Major Malcolm Byrd (Kathi), stationed in Montgomery, Alabama; one niece, Chantell Byrd; one nephew, Elijah M. Byrd; four aunts, Amanda Madlock, Lincoln, Nebraska, Mary Byrd Moody, Evanston, Illinois, Francis Johnson, Chicago, Illinois, Sarah Byrd, Chicago, Illinois; Eight Uncles, Dan Byrd, Lincoln, Nebraska, Jeremiah Byrd, Chicago, Illinois, David Byrd, Seattle, Washington, William Byrd, Chicago, Illinois, James Byrd, Fort Walton Beach, Florida, Luke Byrd, Lincoln, Nebraska, Leroy Byrd, Topeka, Kansas and friends.
