Albert William Hudson better known as “Billy,” age 64, passed on May 5, 2018 at the Lillian Carter Nursing Center, Plains, Georgia.
A wake service will be held from 6:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Friday, May 11, 2018 at the Oglethorpe Funeral Chapel, Inc., 607 Kaigler Street, Oglethorpe, Georgia.
The funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 P.M. on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at the Upperroom Apostolic Faith Church, 1637 GA-Hwy 90 W, Oglethorpe, Georgia. Interment will follow at the Davis Chapel Cemetery, Hwy 26 W, Oglethorpe, Georgia.
Albert was born on June 7, 1953 to the late Bertha Mae Tookes-Hudson and Harvey Hudson, Sr., in Midland, Pennsylvania. He was preceded in death by five siblings, Harvey Hudson, Jr., Charles Leonard Hudson, Archie Curtis Hudson, Mary Emma Hudson-Wallace, and Irene Hudson Wiggins. He was educated in the public schools system of Macon County. He was employed as a farmer at Clyde Smith Farms. He loved drawing, playing the game backgammon, and just enjoyed having a great time.
He leaves to cherish his memories: a son, Travis Leonard Hudson, of Marietta, Georgia; stepson, Tony Paster, of Montezuma, Georgia; four siblings, Maxine Hudson-Range (Melvin), of Oglethorpe, Georgia, Gloria Hudson-Meadows (Roosevelt), Ernestine Hudson-Livingston, both of Ideal, Georgia, and Minister Allen Hudson (Patricia), of Albany, Georgia; brother-in-law, New Ray Wallace; aunts, Dorothy Hudson-Haynes, of Ellaville, Georgia, Lula Pearl Hudson, of Oglethorpe, Georgia, and Eunice Hudson, of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; devoted friends, Bobo Hankerson, Latauvius Smith “Boo,” John Milton Melvin “Pond” and Larry Harvey, Jr.; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
